Erick moved to Fishers from Oregon in 2004. After taking his son to two AAU National Cross Country meet he believed there was a

began, and we have been fortunate to attract a dedicated coaching staff. Erick was distance runner in high school (ran in four State
Cross Country meets, two State track meets, and picked up a 3,000M District track title), and ran for Willamette Univeristy

Jeff Snyder (Assistant Coach/Field Events/Hurdles)
Experience; 2nd year with The Fire. Has coached for several years in a variety of youth sports including track, football, basketball,
and baseball.
4 years HS track, 300 m hurdles, 400 meters, all conference, sectional, regional qualifier
4 years HS football, 3 yr. all conference DB and RB, first team All State Defensive Back
4 year letterman - football - Earlham College
Philosophy: I feel that all young athletes should have a chance to participate in their sport of choice. Youth sports build character, and
teach lessons that young people will reflect on later in life....lessons that can only be learned from competition.... like team work,
sportsmanship, and a sense of fair play. Track and field is unique in that it allows a young athlete to compete in an individual event
against peers of his or her age group while still being part of a team with a common goal. I encourage kids from all backgrounds to
try the sport of track and field.
